And it tends to be online and freely available!

USA.GOV is your guide to government information and services. provides free public access to more than a million official publications from all three branches of the Federal Government.
Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has information about diseases and conditions, healthy living, travelers' health, and statistics on diseases, birth, death, and health for states as well as federally.  provides searching across federal science agencies, including National Library of Medicine, National Science Foundation, NASA, and more.
