Mission of Carrington College Library Services
The Library supports the mission and curriculum of Carrington College by providing students, faculty, and staff with print and electronic resources to further develop their skills and expand their knowledge. The Library aims to provide students with the resources and assistance necessary for success at the college as well as in their future careers. The staff who serve the Library promote the development of information-seeking skills and encourage students to approach their education at Carrington College as the beginning of a life-long learning experience. Madeline Copp graduated from California State University, Long Beach with B.A. and M.A. degrees in English. Additionally, she received her Master of Library and Information Science degree from The University of California, Los Angeles. Madeline has worked as a librarian at several institutions, including the University of Washington, Johns Hopkins University, Occidental College, UC Irvine, Walnut Hill College, The U.S. Naval Academy, and The Huntington Library, Art Collections, and Botanical Gardens. She has been active in the American Library Association throughout her career and has published work on information literacy and collection development. She’s originally from California and loves to bake/cook, travel, and garden. She also loves animals. She, her husband Ron, and their three cats live in Las Vegas, NV.
