Academic Search Complete is the world's most valuable and comprehensive scholarly, multi-disciplinary full-text database, with more than 8,500 full-text periodicals, including more than 7,300 peer-reviewed journals. In addition to full text, this database offers indexing and abstracts for more than 12,500 journals and a total of more than 13,200 publications including monographs, reports, conference proceedings, etc. The database features PDF content going back as far as 1887, with the majority of full text titles in native (searchable) PDF format. Searchable cited references are provided for more than 1,400 journals.

LWW Health Library: Made Incredibly Easy! provides a digital learning tool for nurses at the BSN/RN-level in academic and hospital settings that will aid in their learning experience by providing access to texts designed to enhance their understanding of essential topics as well as prepare them for clinical rotations.
MEDLINE with Full Text This link opens in a new window
MEDLINE with Full Text provides the authoritative medical information on medicine, nursing, dentistry, veterinary medicine, the health care system, and pre-clinical sciences found on MEDLINE, plus the database provides full text for more than 1,470 journals indexed in MEDLINE. Of those, nearly 1,450 have cover-to-cover indexing in MEDLINE. And of those, 558 are not found with full text in any version of Academic Search, Health Source or Biomedical Reference Collection.
OVID Journal Collection

Exercises with Solutions in Radiation Physics by
The textbook begins with exercises related to radioactive sources and decay schemes. The problems covered include series decay and how to determine the frequency and energy of emitted particles in disintegrations. The next chapter deals with the interaction of ionizing radiation, including the treatment of photons and charged particles. The main focus is on applications based on the knowledge of interaction, to be used in subsequent work and courses. The textbook then examines detectors and measurements, including both counting statistics and properties of pulse detectors. The chapter that follows is dedicated to dosimetry, which is a major subject in medical radiation physics. It covers theoretical applications, such as different equilibrium situations and cavity theories, as well as experimental dosimetry, including ionization chambers and solid state and liquid dosimeters. A shorter chapter deals with radiobiology, where different cell survival models are considered. The last chapter concerns radiation protection and health physics. Both radioecology and radiation shielding calculations are covered. The textbook includes tables to simplify the solutions of the exercises, but the reader is mainly referred to important websites for importing necessary data.

Simulations in Medicine by
Modern practical medicine requires high tech in diagnostics and therapy and in consequence in education. All disciplines use computers to handle large data bases allowing individual therapy, to interpret large data bases in form of neuronal signals, help visualization of organs during surgery. This book contains chapters on personalised therapy, advanced diagnostics in neurology, modern techniques like robotic surgery (da Vinci robots), 3D-printing and 3D-bioprinting, augmented reality applied in medical diagnostics and therapy. It is impossible without fast large scale data mining in both: clinical data interpretation as well as in hospital organization including hybrid surgery rooms and personal data flow. The book is based on a course for medical students organized in the editor's department. Every year, around 300 international undergraduate medical students take the course.

The Who Manual on Diagnostic Imaging - Radiographic Technique and Projections by
WHO in collaboration with the International Commission for Radiologic Education (ICRE) of the International Society of Radiology (ISR) and other members of the Global Steering Group for Education and Training in Diagnostic Imaging is creating a series of Manuals of Diagnostic Imaging. The full series of manuals will primarily cover the examination techniques and interpretation of conventional diagnostic X-ray procedures and simple routine ultrasound examinations related to the most common clinical problems faced in most areas of the world. These manuals will replace and update the WHO Manual of Radiographic Interpretation for General Practitioners and the WHO Manual of Radiographic Technique. The present volume in the series, the manual of Radiographic Technique and Projections, provides practical assistance and guidelines for exposures, projections and positioning of a patient as needed for a majority of common radiographic examinations. Although each examination needs to be tailor-made according to clinical problems, size and age of patients, and type of equipment used, this manual offers basic generic information, which can easily be modified according to local needs. Backed by sophisticated computer graphics, this manual will prove essential assistance and help to anybody involved in producing radiographs, be it general practitioners, medical specialists, radiographers or radiologists in any medical settings, although focusing specifically on needs in small and mid-size hospitals.
